Who is Chitwan Jungle Resort?

We are a local team in Chitwan who book rooms, villas and safaris around Chitwan National Park. We work with hand-picked partner lodges in Sauraha, Patihani and Meghauli, check every stay ourselves and look after you from the first message to check-out.

Where exactly will I stay?

Every room page shows its area – Sauraha, Patihani or Meghauli – and your confirmation email gives the full address, directions and the lodge's phone number.

Are prices per room or per person?

Rooms are priced per room per night, including breakfast and taxes, for the number of guests shown. Dorm beds and jungle tower nights are per person. Activities and packages are per person; private transfers are per vehicle.

Do I have to pay when I book?

No. You can pay online by card now, ask for a payment link and pay a deposit later, or pay on arrival for most rooms. We hold your room as soon as the booking is made.

What is the cancellation policy?

Most rooms: free cancellation up to 7 days before arrival, 50% charge 3–6 days before, and no refund within 48 hours or for no-shows. Each room page shows its exact policy.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in from 14:00 and check-out by 11:00 at most lodges. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged when the room is free – just ask.

When is the best time to visit Chitwan?

October to March is cool and dry with excellent wildlife and birdwatching. February to May is hot, but the grass is cut and animals gather at water, so sightings are excellent. June to September is the monsoon: green and quiet, with some park areas closed. See our best time to visit guide.

How do I get to Chitwan?

By private car (5–6 hours from Kathmandu), tourist bus (6–7 hours) or a 25-minute flight to Bharatpur. We can book any of these – see how to reach Chitwan.

How many days should I spend in Chitwan?

Two nights is ideal for most people: enough time for a jeep safari, a canoe ride, a jungle walk and the Tharu village. Wildlife enthusiasts should stay three or four nights.

Will I see a tiger or a rhino?

One-horned rhinos are seen on most safaris. Tigers are shy, and sightings – while more common now – are never guaranteed. A full-day jeep safari or a tiger-tracking walk gives the best chance.

Do you offer elephant rides?

No. We offer observation-only elephant experiences such as the breeding centre and watching the elephants bathe in the river. Jeep safaris, canoes and walks are better ways to see wildlife.

Is Chitwan good for children?

Very. Children love the canoe, the baby elephants and the crocodile centre. Choose a family room, apartment or pool villa, and we'll plan short activities that suit their age.

Are meals included?

Breakfast is included with every room except dorm beds. You can add breakfast and dinner, or all meals, when you book. Packages include all meals.

Is Chitwan safe?

Yes. Sauraha and the lodges are relaxed and friendly. Inside the park, always stay with your licensed guide and follow their instructions – that's why every walk has two guides.
