4 hours
Four hours deep into the sal forest and grasslands of Chitwan National Park in an open 4x4, with a naturalist guide looking for rhinos, deer, crocodiles and – with luck – a tiger.
From $45 per person

The jeep safari covers far more ground than any other activity, which is why it gives you the best chance of seeing Chitwan's big animals. You cross the Rapti River by canoe or bridge, meet your jeep and spend about four hours on the park's tracks, stopping at waterholes, grassland viewpoints and the Kasara visitor area.
Morning safaris are cooler and the light is soft; afternoon safaris end near sunset when animals come out to drink.
Maybe – but nobody can promise it. Chitwan has around 130 tigers, and sightings happen on a small share of safaris. Rhinos, deer, crocodiles, monkeys and birds are seen on almost every trip.
Neutral colours (green, khaki, brown), closed shoes, a hat and sunscreen. From December to February mornings are cold and misty – bring a warm layer.
Yes – tell us in the booking notes and we'll quote the private jeep supplement.
Rooms a short drive or walk from the starting point.
